Who are we?
We are BillHub Holdings Limited, registered in England & Wales No. 09739661 and are registered with the Information Commissioners Office as a data controller, under registration number [ ].
Collection of personal information
When you signup to use one of our services, we ask you to provide some personal information such as your name and surname, email address, and phone number. None of this information will be publically visible on our website.
Upon signup to our service, we also create a BillHub account. This account allows you to log in, update your information and see your payments and invoices.
If you decide to leave BillHub, we will still keep your personal information for our records. However, you can contact us if you wish to delete information we have on you that we are not required to keep by law.

This information includes your internet address so that we can track unique visits to our site for analytic purposes via our Google analytics partnership.

Usage of personal information
We may share your personal information with our service providers only for the purpose of providing you the services requested.
We gather your information to allow us to consider and process your application for our services as described in the Terms and Conditions to enable us to liaise with third parties such as utilities companies or other service providers who may provide services and products to you. The relevant information is also used by us and shared with our agents, third parties and sub-contractors to deal with your enquiries, process your transactions and communicate with you on any matter relating to the provision of products or services or in general.
We may also use aggregate information and statistics for the purpose of monitoring personal data usuage in order to help us develop our services and may provide such aggregate information to third parties. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual.

Sale of Business

Credit Reference Agencies (“CRAs”)
When you make an application, you are giving your express consent for your details to be held on computer and used in a credit scoring, manual underwriting or automated decision-making processes when assessing your application.
Storage of personal information
When you create a BillHub account you will be asked to set a password that only you should know. Passwords are encoded and not stored as straight text in our databases. Because of this, we cannot tell you your password if you forget it. You must request for your password to be reset.
Modifying your personal information
To change your name, you must get in contact directly with us where we will ask for proof of your change of name. Please get in contact at email@example.com. All other information, including your password, can be changed by logging in to your account.
If BillHub we declared bankruptcy, part of an acquisition or merger process, or selling part of our assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that event.
WE DO NOT KEEP ANY OF YOUR PAYMENT DETAILS. We only keep when the payments were made, by whom and for how much. The payment details are kept on GoCardless secure servers, which uses military grade encryption to keep all data safe.
Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
The green address bar indicates that we have an extended validation security certificate installed on the site. This means that all data transferred between yourself and our servers is down through a 128-bit encryption.
As we do not take payments this is not required by law, but BillHub understands the importance of keeping your data personal so we went through the lengthy process of getting this extended validation certificate approved.

Third-parties and their usage
We use a number of third party services to aid us in providing you the best service possible. For example, live chat, support tickets, blogs, website analytics and behaviour and clicks, are all third party.
Some of these third-parties may collection and store information sent by your browser such as IP address, location and current page request. However, no personal information such as email or payment details is passed on to these services.
We may share your information where it is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property, other users, or anyone else who could be harmed by such activities. We also reserve the right to disclose user information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it.
In order to protect our customers and us from fraud and theft, we may pass on information that we obtain from making identity checks and other information in our customer records, including how you conduct your account, to third parties with whom we work to provide our services to you and to financial and other organisations involved in fraud prevention and detection, to use in the same way. From time to time, service providers and organisations with whom we work to provide services to You, or credit reference agencies with which we work, may be located outside the European Economic Area in countries that do not have the same standards of protection for personal data as the UK. We will, however, always use every reasonable effort to ensure sufficient protections are in place to safeguard your personal data
How we protect your information
The internet is not a secure medium. We take appropriate steps to maintain the security of your personal data but the open nature of the Internet is such that data may flow over networks without security measures and may be accessed and used by people other than those for whom the data is intended. However, we aim to apply appropriate levels of security at all times.

You are entitled to know whether we hold information about you and, if we do, you are entitled to have access to that information and require it to be corrected if it is inaccurate.
